Seeking to call a new pastor:
We are seeking to call a new Pastor for Lighthouse Lutheran Church. We have formed a Call Committee whose function is to determine what Lighthouse is looking for in a Pastor and to interview prospective candidates. The current Call Committee is comprised Janet, Bill, Julian, Marsha, and Grant. These volunteers will keep the Council updated on progress which will be shared with the congregation. Thank you to our Call Committee volunteers throughout these past months for their efforts in completing our Church Profile where you can read its contents on the bulletin board in the narthex area. Lighthouse’s intention to call a pastor will be shared with the LCMC, NALC, Reformed Presbyterian Seminary and Trinity School for Ministry outlets and published on their respective websites. Contact Tom Kuny 412 741-6711 if you have questions.
We believe that this is a time of great importance in our church’s history. We have been given the opportunity to seek God’s face and ask for His wisdom in determining whom He has called to be the next pastor of Lighthouse Lutheran Church. We believe that this should be a time of great excitement and enthusiasm for our church, and we know that we are in need of supernatural discernment through this process. We thank you for trusting our leadership and are asking for you to join us as we pray through this season of preparing for our next Pastor and his family. James 5:16 states, “The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” With this in mind, we need to be right with God and come to Him with a clean conscience so that our prayers are not hindered. We have been seeking God’s will for our church and it is a task we do not take lightly. We covet your prayers during this season of transition and change. For that reason, we ask that you continue to pray for the Call Committee, the congregation, and the future Pastor of our church. We want to build unity and have clear knowledge of God’s will for the future Pastor. Please pray diligently for the members of our Call Committee daily. Thank you for praying as we seek wisdom and discernment of God’s will.
